City of Industry

The name says it all. You won’t find too many residents (only about 900) in the City of Industry, but that’s because the city is almost entirely devoted to commercial, industrial businesses.

Among the businesses headquarted in Industry are Alta Dena, Hot Topic and Yum-Yum Donuts. The city has become an appealing investment for Asian businesses, and in recent years the city has turned into a successful importer-exporter of computer parts.

That doesn't mean that Industry doesn't have any entertainment or points of interest for visitors. In fact, Industry lays claim to a popular hillside hotel resort known as the Pacific Palms Resort (once known as the Industry Hills Sheraton). When you enter the city limits, the resort is hard to miss. Even though the hill on which it sits is entirely surrounded by the city of La Puente, this hotel-restaurant-golf course complex is a part of the City of Industry.

For history buffs, the city also maintains the Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum, a historic house and garden museum in honor of families influential in the shaping of the San Gabriel Valley’s early history.
